  1. Minimum Required Qualifications
    1. Education

Bachelor/Diploma in Mechanical engineering or equivalent

    1. Training
  • Certified Lifting Engineer from LEEA ‘Lifting Equipment Engineers Association.
  • Holding certification in LEEA (Entry Exam, Lifting Machines Manual, Lifting Gear General, Lifting Machines Power and Runway & Light Crane Structure (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 7 -10 years of experience related to lifting equipment inspection and training, such as crane and forklift operator and riggers training.
  • Lifting ADNOC approvals, having APLO offshore approval is the most advanced.
  • Certified LEEA/ADNOC appointed person is a robust advance.
  • Train The Trainer recognized certification example IADT.
  • Recognized HSE/OSH certification (NEBOSH IGC, British Safety council OSH diploma, Certified Safet Professional or equivalent) is advanced.

    1. Technical knowledge
  • Capability to Develop training materials/ curriculum in line with the international standards “LEEA/ANSI”, national standards “ADOSH”, ADNOC standard “Operations Safety Standards - Lifting and Hoisting Operations ST 19”.
  • Capability to Perform lifting inspection whenever required.
  • Capability to Deliver training on both onshore and offshore sites.
  • Redness to attend ADNOC approval dry run whenever requested.
  • Redness and ability to conduct general HSE/OSH training according to the business needs.
  • Redness and willingness to continuously improve his qualifications and obtain new qualifications.

    1. Primary Functions
  • Conduct various lifting courses examples but not limited to rigging, slinging and banksman operation, lifting appointed person / lifting supervisor, offshore and onshore crane training.
    1. Technical Expertise
  • Teaching and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to determine training objectives.
  • Ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate training plans, curricula, and methodology.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Skill in preparing instructional aids and plans.

    1. HSE Requirements
  • Always comply with all applicable legal requirements, BV Abu Dhabi HSE Policies and procedures, client’s HSE procedures and code of practices.
  • Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/supervisor
  • Report immediately any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
  • Report immediately any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation
  • Use appropriate PPE in the work area and be aware of:
    • the risks appropriate PPE will control or minimize
    • Report immediately in case the PPE is worn off or lost.
  • Communicate to their immediate managers any unsafe work practice or condition and opportunities for improvement of HSE practices.
  • Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do).
  • Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare.
