Position Summary – This position demands a strong background in quality systems management and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective total quality management approach. As a Quality Systems Engineer, this position is responsible for ensuring that our Field Lines of Business (ISO 9001) and Corporate Functional Teams meet the highest quality systems management standards. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams, including field and administrative employees, assessing gaps, developing projected timelines, action plans and driving them to close. This will include developing and implementing quality control standards, procedures, processes, conducting audits, and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Executive Communication: Present regular project updates and report-outs to Director and VP-level leadership, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder Management: Lead a cross-functional, cross-divisional stakeholder group, including engineers, quality professionals, and senior leadership, to ensure alignment and effective decision-making.
  • Develop QMS Standards according to ISO 9001 standards
  • Implement and track process Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to support process and system improvement.
  • Drive improvement ideas system generation and implementation.
  • Undertake special projects as required
  • Coordinate and maintain DMS document control system via DMS document control database (DMS charters, standards, procedures, instructions, forms and/or any associated tracking of same
  • Lead the implementation and certification of ISO 9001 across corporate functions, ensuring compliance with quality management system requirements.
  • Conduct gap analyses to assess current processes against ISO 9001 standards and develop action plans for compliance.
  • Develop, document, and maintain quality policies, procedures, and work instructions in alignment with ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, track non-conformances, and oversee corrective and preventive actions.

Project Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in configuration management processes, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and aligned with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Develop a structured project plan for ISO 9001 deployment, setting timelines, milestones, and key deliverables.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement quality initiatives, ensuring stakeholder engagement and accountability.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce risks, and improve service quality.

Communication & Training

  • Act as a liaison between corporate leadership, functional teams, and external auditors to ensure a smooth transition to the QMS and ISO compliance.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on Bureau Veritas Quality Management System principles, processes, and best practices.
  • Communicate quality objectives, progress updates, and key performance metrics to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years professional site experience in a manufacturing environment (e.g. Engineer or Quality/Compliance System Specialist level or equivalent).
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree level education or equivalent in site experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, oral, written and presentation skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize projects as well as associated timing of same.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2018 standards, implementation, and audit processes.
  • Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to train and influence diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., root cause analysis, corrective actions, risk assessments).

Preferred:

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance within the inspection, testing, or certification industry.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint, QMS software, and data analysis tools.
