Job Title and Purpose

The BMS System Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable and safe operation of Building Management Systems (BMS) and associated low-voltage systems in large commercial facilities (≥15,000 m²). The role also includes acting as a deputy to the FM Manager, coordinating maintenance teams, and overseeing integration between BMS and other building systems. This position requires both deep technical expertise and leadership capabilities.

  • Will be based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Responsibilities

Project Leadership:

  • Act as FM Manager in his/her absence, leading the engineering team and maintaining operational continuity.
  • Coordinate technical issues related to the maintenance and operation of building automation systems.

System Operations & Integration:

  • Ensure uninterrupted functioning of building engineering systems (HVAC, lighting, security, etc.) via BMS.
  • Maintain a balanced interaction between BMS and all other connected building systems and equipment.
  • Oversee fire alarm, video surveillance (CCTV), and other low-voltage systems to ensure consistent performance.

Compliance & Safety:

  • Monitor execution of work in compliance with:
  • Manufacturer manuals
  • National and international standards
  • Internal operating procedures
  • Ensure strict adherence to occupational health and safety procedures when working with automated systems.

Personnel Training & Supervision:

  • Work with the Technical Manager to organize professional training for technical staff.
  • Conduct or coordinate BMS-specific training (internal or with external experts).
  • Train Client staff on effective and safe use of BMS and related systems.
  • Participate in the selection and formation of the dispatcher/operator team.

Preventive Maintenance & Documentation:

  • Develop service schedules and maintenance regulations for engineering systems and ensure strict compliance.
  • Issue notifications to relevant departments about detected malfunctions and ensure timely resolution.
  • Supervise the implementation and documentation of preventive maintenance routines.

Requirements to be a successful candidate

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, or related fields)
  • Minimum 8 years of overall experience, including at least 2 years of hands-on experience with BMS in large-scale commercial buildings (office centers, malls, etc., ≥15,000 m²)
  • Strong knowledge of automation systems, HVAC integration, fire and security systems, and international maintenance standards
  • Experience with leading BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Honeywell, etc.) is a plus
  • Knowledge of occupational safety standards and system interoperability best practices
