Equans is looking for a Commercial Manager - Projects to join our team across our Central and South West Region on a permanent basis. To begin with you will be based at the Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth but also expected to travel to Bristol and the Birmingham area.

This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle, bonus and benefits package.

What will you deliver?

  • Leading commercial management of project lifecycle from tender through delivery to final account

  • Supporting the identification and management of risks at all levels (operational, financial, commercial, technical)

  • Managing commercial and contractual elements of variation/change control

  • Supporting the implementation of in-life profitability reviews (KPI2) alongside operational and financial colleagues and establishing plan to return to governed profitability if required

  • Correctly processing confidential/commercially sensitive information

  • Leading governance to ensure compliance with the requirements of the contract and Equans’ processes

  • Supporting quality service delivery by raising awareness of contractual responsibilities among colleagues (including contract deliverables, scope of services etc.)

  • Demonstrating compliance of governed positions (by audit against Equans’ commercial standards)

Who are you?

  • Suitable commercial experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously within a facilities management environment, PFI or other closely related complex contracting

  • Educated to degree/ diploma level

  • Understanding and practical application of base English law applicable to contracts generally and projects within the PFI FM industry in particular

  • Excellent communicator

  • Excellent financial acumen with an ability to analyse complex data and documentation with accuracy

  • Skilled negotiator with proven experience in a commercial environment

  • Sound understanding of risk analysis and management

  • Thorough knowledge and experience of business assurance systems

  • IT literate with knowledge of MS applications e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Valid driving licence

This role includes a DBS Basic check therefore ability to pass is essential.
