Lifecycle Project Manager

Equans is looking for a Lifecycle Project manager to join our team on our contract with Birmingham Schools on a permanent basis. You will be based predominantly in Birmingham but there may be travel to other areas such Lincolnshire, Derbyshire and the South West on occasion.
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle, bonus and benefits package.
What will you deliver?
The Lifecycle Project Manager is a regional role covering both Birmingham Schools contracts, providing both a technical lead around asset management and Project delivery of each Lifecycle plan
Being responsible for leading on any key technical disciplines that relate to Building infrastructure, Mechanical & Electrical systems associated with a Healthcare premises
Proactively engaging with our own internal teams and our FM suppliers to identify assets that fall short of any contractual maintenance requirements and assets that need to be replaced within the 5-year lifecycle plan
Technical support on any lifecycle works, highlighting to the local teams any relevant requirements to comply with best industry practice's which are associated with relevant Regulations, BS standards, best industry standards such as SFG20 and HBNs guidance, this will need to be illustrated within the scope of works that the Project Manager’s create
Accountable for the creation of the V1 lifecycle plans alongside our Lifecycle Programme Manager, by overseeing what replacement requirements are needed for building fabric, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to ensure technical justification of our life cycle spend are in line with any contractual compliance. Which should be managed via a risk-based scoring system on all our assets and supported by a strong underpinning knowledge of the relevant guidance illustrated within CIBSE guidance M and ISO 15001 etc
Being able to create a Clients Brief for any step ins, to ensure that our expectation is delivered within the supplier’s work or by our own Project Managers
Monitor sub-contractor compliance with national standards, best practice and legislation or as required within the Project Agreement, FM Agreement and other associated contractual documentation.

Who are you?
In-depth knowledge and experience of relevant processes and procedures relevant to the role, including quality assurance requirements, techniques and processes
Excellent knowledge and understanding of building fabric and M&E disciplines across the healthcare, local government and education sectors
Substantial understanding of relevant Department of Health, Regulatory and Legislative issues
Having a time served technical background in electrical, mechanical or a building discipline
Commercial and financial awareness with proven knowledge of budgetary control
Qualified to HNC or equivalent in engineering discipline
Accredited to either NEBOSH or IOSH and Hold SMSTS
Understanding of the ISO 15001
- Valid driving licence
This role includes a DBS Enhanced with Barred Lists check therefore ability to pass is essential.
