Business Development Manager - Data Centers

Equans Data Centers are recruiting a Business Development Manager to support our growing Data Center business.
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strong client relationships and drive revenue growth. The successful candidate will play a key role in the strategic direction of our business by supporting with innovative observations, and input to maintain and expand our market presence within the Data Center industry.
The role:
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and selected existing customers for the ongoing development of new business.
- Build strong trusted relationships with strategic and focus clients and develop a strong pipeline of sales opportunities across new business and existing key clients.
- Work with internal teams to ensure excellent client satisfaction and retention.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of sales opportunities in both new and existing key accounts.
- Support the agreed strategic target clients and prospects by developing relationships, engaging in collaborative visits, along with preparing and delivering presentations to increase the profile of the company.
- Build strategic partnerships to support long term growth.
- Maintain and update the CRM database, Saleforce, by ensuring all client interactions, sales activities and opportunities are accurately recorded and kept up to date.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for the Leadership team to highlights progress and performance and ensure all details related to opportunities, projects and other key activities are thoroughly prepared for regular sales activity catch up sessions.
- Have a strong market awareness and be the company representative in the market and attend industry events, conferences and networking to increase brand visibility.
- To work towards and exceed specific sales targets and KPI’s.
- To maintain internal and external network of contacts to enhance personal and corporate reputation and success.
The person:
- Proven experience in business development, sales or a related field.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence an audience.
- Proactive, self-motivated with strong networking ability and the ability to build contacts within the sector.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office.
- Skills in identifying market trends, potential clients and business ideally within the Data Center sector.
- Familiarity with digital marketing and social media is desirable.
