Summary
Reporting to the Facility Manager, the Electrical Building Operator works alongside the other (Building) Operators to perform Preventative Maintenance and Service Requests. These requests include PM services, equipment breakdowns, recommending system upgrades, and installing new equipment to ensure consistent building performance to support the client. Building Operators are expected uphold Equans mandate to ensure everyone’s safety, operational excellence, and improving our environmental footprint. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, team player who can prioritize their workload and work independently while maintaining an attention to detail.
Description
- Adhere to all health & safety policies;
- Comply with company policies and procedures while ensuring building standards and efficiencies are maintained;
- Possess a strong knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC), and Saskatchewan interpretations;
- Execute preventative maintenance tasks for equipment and systems as outlined in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS);
- Respond to occupant concerns in a timely manner and assist in problem solving;
- Record and report services performed in CMMS system;
- Co-ordinate equipment inspection, repair, and installs with other Operators, Sub-contractors, and Operations staff;
- Prioritize assigned duties and responsibilities with minimal supervision;
- Track, maintain, and restock shop/equipment inventory;
- Propose and initiate equipment upgrades in line with Equans mandate for continuous improvement;
- Read and interpret drawings and control schematics;
- Work closely with occupants, contractors, and other building operators to ensure smooth efficient building operations;
- Maintain professional conduct and appearance at all times;
- Monitor and utilize the Building Automation System (BAS);
- Conduct regular scheduled facility and site inspections;
- Respond to after hour emergencies as part of an on-call rotation;
- Complete other tasks as required by immediate supervisor.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Authorized to work in CANADA;
- Qualified to pass a security screening;
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Certified Journeyman Electrician with the ability to work in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan;
- Class 5 license;
- Participation in an on-call rotation;
- Excellent customer service skills;
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office;
- Experience with BAS/BMS and CMMS preferred;
- Physical ability to complete job tasks including consistent walking and ability to lift 50 lbs;
- Successful applicants are required to submit to a background check.
