Your Role – Sales Engineer / Business Development Manager

We are expanding our commercial team in Switzerland and are looking for a Sales Engineer or Business Development Manager with a strong interest in specialist construction works such as post-tensioning, anchoring systems, and structural solutions.

Whether you come from a technical background (civil engineering) or from a commercial/BD discipline within the construction sector, we welcome applications from professionals at different seniority levels who can help us grow our market presence and client relationships.

You will be a key interface between our clients, design office, and execution teams, supporting both technical solution development and commercial growth activities.

Your Main Responsibilities

Manage and develop a portfolio of clients and market territory

Identify opportunities, drive business development, and support tendering activities

Prepare, follow up, and negotiate quotations from first contact to contract signing

Coordinate with the technical office to develop proposals and alternative structural solutions

Act as the main technical/commercial point of contact for clients and partners

Collaborate closely with execution teams for project follow-up and feedback

Actively network with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to promote our solutions

Profile Sought

We welcome candidates from both technical and commercial backgrounds:

For Sales Engineer profiles:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • A minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in the construction/civil engineering sector
  • Knowledge of post-tensioning or specialist civil works is an advantage

For Business Development Manager profiles:

  • Experience in BD, sales, tendering, or commercial roles within construction/engineering
  • Strong client relationship and negotiation skills
  • Ability to understand technical solutions (training provided)

For all candidates:

  • Strong organizational abilities and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication, client-facing skills, and negotiation capability
  • Native Swiss German or fluent German; French strongly valued
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and MS Project; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus
