We have a challenging role for an experienced Senior MEP Coordinator, who is looking for role that will offer career development and the opportunity to enhance their technical capability further. You will lead the coordination and integration of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems within our major construction projects.
Role summary:
In the role you will be reporting to the Digital MEP Manager / Project Director. You will be responsible for overseeing the full MEP design and delivery cycle, managing program and planning aspects, and ensuring compliance with BIM standards and digital handover.
Your Skills Profile should include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field
- Proven experience in MEP coordination, ideally with major construction company or infrastructure projects
- Hands-on experience with Revit and Navisworks demonstrating a strong understanding of digital coordination workflows
- Substantial MEP systems, construction processes (Including best practise) experience and able to demonstrate your planning, programming and monitoring complex MEP works against a stringent timeline
- Your communication skills will need to be effective and you will have the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, showing us strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
- Experience providing training and mentoring in BIM, digital tools, and structured data management
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the coordination of MEP systems with architectural and structural components using BIM tools (Revit, Revizto)
- Ensure that all systems are fully integrated, compliant with client requirements, and free of conflicts
- Lead clash detection processes, resolve complex coordination issues, and provide solutions to technical challenges
- Develop, monitor, and manage detailed MEP programmes and schedules in alignment with overall project timelines
- Forecast resource and material requirements and proactively address risks to avoid delays
- Report on project milestones, progress, and performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders
- Ensure full compliance with BIM protocols, managing the exchange and quality of digital information using IFC and COBie standards
- Oversee the creation, validation, and delivery of structured project data for asset management and digital handover
- Oversee the production and maintenance of comprehensive digital documentation, including shop drawings, specifications, schedules, and as-builts
- Ensure quality assurance and adherence to project standards across all MEP documentation and deliverables
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior coordinators and MEP Package Managers on BIM tools, workflows, and digital handover processes
- Promote best practices in digital construction and foster a collaborative working environment across project teams
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and supply chain partners to ensure clear communication and collaborative problem-solving
- Represent the MEP function at design coordination, progress, and technical meetings
