As the Associate Manager, Commercial Marketing: Off Premise (C-store & Drug), you will play a key role in bringing brand and channel priorities to life for our Strategic Account customers. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Commercial Marketing, Off Premise Grocery, Mass, C-store & Drug, this role sits at the intersection of brand strategy, customer planning and in-market execution – shaping retailer-specific programs that drive visibility, growth and performance. With Suntory’s continued focus on the RTD Category, the accounts are integral in paving our success. The role will partner closely with National Account Managers, agencies and cross-functional teams to deliver impactful programming. You’ll apply strong consumer and customer insights to influence how brands show up in the C-store & Drug Accounts, while gaining broad exposure across sales, marketing and commercial leadership.

Role Responsibilities

This role is based out of Chicago or New York.

  • Translate channel and brand strategies into customer-specific marketing programs that drive market penetration, brand visibility, and revenue growth.
  • Serve as a key Commercial Marketing partner to National Account Managers, supporting customer planning, JBPs, and account-specific programming needs.
  • Leverage market research, consumer behavior analysis, and sales data to develop insights and inform programming, customer pitches, and execution priorities.
  • Own the development of retailer-specific programming briefs, translating brand strategy and customer needs into clear direction for agency development and production.
  • Provide ongoing customer and program performance insights back to Channel & Category and Brand Teams to inform planning, optimization, and future programming.
  • Collaborate with Shopper Insights, Customer Solutions and Category Development to develop compelling shopper / category-led customer programs.
  • Support the Sr. Manager as Commercial Marketing subject-matter experts in SA customer planning discussions and key customer presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience across marketing and sales roles, preferably within the beverage alcohol industry or related consumer goods industries
  • Strong understanding of how brand strategy translates into customer-ready programs in a complex, matrixed organization
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally across Sales, Brand, Insights, Field and agency partners
  • Self-starter with strong judgment, able to identify opportunities, prioritize work, and lead initiatives with minimal direction
  • Comfort with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Salary Range - The salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000 along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate’s location, experience, and skillset.
