Since then, we've shipped more than 70 million toys and treats to the dogs across the world and use all of that direct customer feedback to inform new initiatives and ways to make magic between dogs and their people. We’ve since expanded into other offerings as well, as we aim to become THE Dog Company for every family with a four-legged, belly-scratch-loving, interspecies family member.

Marketing - Growth

The Growth team is responsible for scaling the organization through marketing and advertising.We are the engine that brings the company new customers in order to make ALL the dogs happy. Our team is close-knit - we like to have fun and joke around, and we're often found nerding out on consumer behavior. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about Paid Media with an expertise in Google Ads (SEM, YouTube, Demand Gen, Performance Max, etc.). The person in this role will be responsible for managing Google Ads to hit monthly channel goals for the core subscription products that made BARK famous, BarkBox and Super Chewer.

This person will report directly to the Director of Emerging Channels and sit on the Growth Marketing Team, responsible for all of BARK’s DTC sales spanning BarkBox, Super Chewer, BARK Food, BARK Bright and more.


  • Manage all aspects of Google Ad campaigns (SEM, Demand Gen, YouTube, Display, etc.)
  • Analyze and optimize ad campaigns to increase sales volume and improve customer acquisition costs
  • Collaborate with a team of marketers, Google Ads specialists, and engineers
  • Forecast KPIs for Google Ads categories
  • Test new categories and products as they become available


  • 3-5 years of experience in Paid Marketing (specifically Google Ads). Proficiency in Ads UI, best practices, optimization tactics, and analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of Google Ads, Google Merchant Center, Google Analytics, & Microsoft Advertising (formerly Bing Ads)
  • An understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM)
  • Competency with using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to produce reports and presentations for clients
  • Competency with ChatGPT and DALL-E


  • Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely communicate results and concepts to relevant stakeholders, including c-suite partners.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Collaboration and teamwork, comfortable leading projects, coordinating peers and mentoring those around you.
  • Adaptability: Demonstrated aptitude and appetite for picking up new ad products and tools.
  • Attention to Detail: Sharp analytical mind with meticulous attention to detail and understanding of nuance.
  • Business Acumen: Passion for growing and strengthening a business using data-driven approaches, with an understanding of key performance metrics.
  • Optional - Education: Degree in Marketing

This position is a full-time/salaried position. It is located on-site at our office in New York. We offer health insurance for both you and your pup, 401k, wonderful team lunches, cold brew on tap, and a dog to pet anytime you wish.


  • The base salary range for this position is $100,000- $115,000
  • This position is eligible for equity

**This compensation range is based on BARKs good faith estimate as of the date of this posting and may be modified in the future. Actual pay for this position will depend on a variety of variables including location, travel, internal equity, experience, education, skills and expertise.
