WHO WE’RE SNIFFING FOR

The HR Generalist serves as critical support for leaders within the company as well as all of the talented humans that make up our BARK team. The POG will be responsible for developing a thorough understanding of the BARK mission, objectives, challenges and team members so that they can better support People Operations Managers’ (POM) projects. In this role you will partner closely with Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and POMs to navigate challenges in a rapidly scaling businesses. The person in this role will work closely with the POM and Senior POM for the Happy CX team to triage the day-to-day questions.

KEY DUTIES

  • Triage day-to-day People support issues as the resident expert on all things Payroll, Company and Statutory Benefits, Separation, and other tasks for the team members based in the Philippines.
  • Coordinate communication, and meetings as needed with payroll & benefits partners.
  • Payroll specific duties may include, but are also not limited to, the following:
    • Preparation, documentation, review, and validation of the pay data.
    • Review payroll registers and coordinate with payroll vendor for required adjustment/correction.
    • Work closely with the vendor for end-to-end payroll processing.
    • Handle and address payroll related queries and issues raised by payroll vendor and US based Payroll team.
    • Assist on Payroll related projects and adhoc reporting that maybe assigned from time to time.
  • Monitor People best practices and make recommendations as appropriate to HR leadership.
  • Compile People metrics (engagement surveys, turnover data, compensation analysis, diversity data, etc.) for the POM and Sr. POM to use when guiding leadership and partners.
  • Support management of vendors related to HMO coverage, Business Permit Renewal, SSS, PhiliHealth, BIR, and Pag-IBIG compliance through completing in-person tasks.
  • Assist with administering talent reviews, succession planning, promotions and reorganizations as needed.
  • Complete Certificate of Employment requests for employees in a timely manner by preparing the draft for the POM (manager) to sign.
  • Continuously develop and learn in the HR/People space to keep up with industry trends, best practices, and compliance
  • Facilitate Annual Physical Exam requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact and trusted expert to other teams within the organization including Legal, Finance, Payroll, and others.

EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years of human resources experience either as a generalist or as a subject matter expert.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required; Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of employment law and best practices in the Philippines.
  • Understanding of HRIS system navigation and managing employee information.

  • Analytical and strategic while being empathetic to the needs of individual team members.
  • Engaged in and curious about the business.
  • Experience supporting customer service departments is preferred.

This position is a full-time position. This position will work remotely in the Philippines.
