As Capital Project Management Expert within the Group Project Management Office (PMO), your primary mission will be to provide direct support to major capital investment projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from development to execution and closure. You will work closely with the project Assessment Lead to implement assessment processes, self-assessment methodologies, and leverage internal and external resources. Additionally, you will contribute to the development of procedures, best practices (CIPM), and the enhancement of our project management capabilities and competencies through the Project Management Academy.
Your main responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and follow actively projects in your area of activity.
- Coordinate and facilitate comprehensive assessments of individual capital investment projects at various stages of their lifecycle.
- Collaborate with local PMOs (Project Management Offices) and Engineering Departments to ensure adherence to established standards and best practices during project assessments.
- Facilitate the utilization of the Project Definition Rating Index (PDRI) and other recognized industry standards to assess project feasibility and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Support the implementation of execution indicators to track project progress, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
Your qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in coordinating and assessing capital investment projects across their lifecycle.
- Demonstrated experience in executing capital projects with a value above $150 million.
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Open-minded change manager with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel and ability to work with different cultures, be flexible, and respectful.
- Advanced English is a prerequisite, and advanced knowledge of an additional language would be an asset.
- Solid relationship management and influencing skills, coupled with written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment

The role entails closely collaborating with project teams, local PMOs, and Engineering Departments to ensure effective project assessments. This involves liaising with internal and external stakeholders to gather necessary data and resources, while also interfacing with senior leadership and decision-makers to provide assessment findings and recommendations.
Frequent travel will be required (50% approximately), therefore the position can base anywhere.
