What it means to be a Data Analyst
We get it, you want to know what you’re signing up for before you apply, right? This is what you need to know.
As a Data Analyst at Duplex, you’ll be responsible for:
Building and maintaining dashboards and recurring reports across programmatic revenue, user engagement, and product usage
Analyzing advertising performance across GAM, header bidding, and syndication partners
Investigating anomalies, debugging noisy data, and improving data hygiene across our systems
Working with developers to validate event tracking and ensure clean, reliable data pipelines
Partnering with Product and Revenue leads to define KPIs and surface insights that drive strategy
Translating raw data into stories, trends, and recommendations that help us grow faster and smarter
After 1 week
You’ve set up your environment, gained access to key data sources, and met core stakeholders across Revenue, Product, and Dev
You’ve reviewed and audited our existing dashboards and reports for accuracy and completeness
After 1 month
You’ve improved or rebuilt a few key reports and created at least one new dashboard with recurring business value
You’ve documented data quality issues and worked with developers to fix tagging, tracking, or pipeline gaps
You’ve contributed analysis to at least one strategic monetization or product initiative
After 6 months
You’re the go-to person for data questions across Revenue and Product
You’ve built a stable reporting foundation for ad performance, audience behavior, and software usage
You’ve delivered insights that shaped pricing, feature development, or content strategy
What we would like to see in you
Every Redbricker has three things in common: We’re curious, passionate, and good-humoured. We try our best to balance hard work with good, old-fashioned fun. As a Data Analyst at Duplex, there are extra specialties we’re on the lookout for:
3+ years of experience in a data analyst role, ideally in digital media, SaaS, or publishing
Strong SQL and spreadsheet skills, with comfort querying Redshift (or similar warehouses)
Familiarity with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or equivalent
Solid understanding of digital ad metrics (CPM, fill, revenue, viewability, etc.)
Experience analyzing behavioral data from tools like GA4, Amplitude, or Mixpanel
Ability to explain your insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bonus: exposure to dbt, ETL pipelines, or scripting in Python
