What it means to be Senior Director of Product
We get it, you want to know what you’re signing up for before you apply, right? This is what you need to know.
Leadpages is looking for a Senior Director of Product to lead our growing product team and ensure strong execution on high-impact product initiatives. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee one Director and two Product Managers, helping guide the team toward delivering customer-centric solutions that align with business goals. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Design, Marketing, and RevOps to bring new features to life, refine the user experience, and drive adoption.
We’re seeking a leader who is just as comfortable building roadmaps as they are helping unblock teams day-to-day. Someone who thrives on turning strategy into execution—and who knows how to balance iteration with long-term vision.
You will be responsible for:
-
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and support a team of one Product Director and two Product Managers.
Provide coaching and clear direction on scope, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment.
Foster a culture of ownership, learning, and customer empathy.
-
Execution & Roadmapping
Own the planning and delivery of product initiatives, translating company strategy into actionable roadmaps.
Collaborate with Engineering and Design on discovery, planning, and agile delivery.
Monitor execution progress, unblock issues, and ensure delivery quality.
-
Customer & Market Insight
Stay close to customer pain points and usage patterns—through research, support tickets, and analytics.
Translate insights into product improvements that enhance conversion, engagement, and retention.
Monitor the competitive landscape and ensure product positioning stays differentiated.
-
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Revenue Operations and Marketing to support go-to-market initiatives and product launches.
Ensure alignment across stakeholders to maintain momentum and clarity.
Coordinate with the VP of Product on broader vision and quarterly prioritization.
-
Product Analytics & Outcomes
Define and track KPIs for product features and team performance.
Leverage usage data and experiments to validate hypotheses and iterate quickly.
Drive measurable business impact through thoughtful, data-informed execution.
-
After 1 week
You will have completed your onboarding process and met with key members of the leadership, engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams.
You will have familiarized yourself with Leadpages’ products, services, key features, and the current product roadmap.
You will have reviewed current product strategies, team structures, and success metrics.
You will have begun building relationships with your direct reports (Director and PMs) and started to understand our customer segments and user personas.
-
After 1 month
You will have conducted a tactical analysis of the product portfolio and identified gaps or areas of improvement.
You will have reviewed user feedback, support trends, and product usage data to surface immediate customer pain points.
You will have met with key customers and internal stakeholders to validate early insights.
You will have identified 1–2 potential quick-win opportunities for improvement and aligned with Engineering/Design on scoping.
You will have begun optimizing internal team processes such as backlog grooming, sprint planning, or documentation standards.
-
After 6 months
You will have delivered at least one meaningful product improvement or quick win to demonstrate execution velocity.
You will have presented a tactical roadmap for your area of responsibility aligned with broader company objectives.
You will have improved product development workflows in collaboration with your Director and PMs.
You will have defined key performance indicators (KPIs) to track product and team success.
You will have established strong operating rhythms across your pod(s) and cross-functional partners.
You will have contributed to building a high-performance, customer-first culture within the product team.
