What it means to be DevOps Developer
We get it, you want to know what you’re signing up for before you apply, right? This is what you need to know. As a DevOps Developer at Duplex, you’ll be responsible for:
Design, build, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure on AWS using CDK.
Manage Cloudflare content delivery, and security enhancements
Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
Implement and monitor system performance and availability metrics, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate security and reliability into the software development lifecycle.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of infrastructure documentation and best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application deployment issues.
Foster a DevOps culture of collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement within the organization.
Contribute to the TypeScript / Python codebases
Mentor and train junior team members on DevOps best practices and technologies
Experience with RedShift (nice to have)

Onboard with the team and become familiar with existing processes and methodologies

After 1 month
Work with the development teams to plan future devops improvements
Make recommendations and implement best practices to the current CI/CD pipeline

After 6 months
Assist teams with managing SLAs/ SLOs
Build out runbooks in conjunction with teams
Improve deployment safety in existing CI/CD pipelines
Improve observability (o11y) properties across services.
What we would like to see in you
Every Redbricker has three things in common: We’re curious, passionate, and good-humoured. We try our best to balance hard work with good, old-fashioned fun. As a DevOps Developer at Duplex, there are extra specialties we’re on the lookout for:
Typically, 5+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role with a focus on cloud environments.
Proven experience working with various AWS services (e.g., CDK, Lambda,, etc).
Experience with runbooks, on-call rotations, SLA & Burndown reporting, etc
Experience with software development best practices, able to participate in TypesScript and Python codebases.
Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience building and maintaining pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline/CodeBuild.
Experience with monitoring, logging and observability tools (e.g., CloudWatch, DataDog, etc).
