Job Summary
As a Brand Designer at Alto, you bring strong creative execution skills to help elevate our brand across digital and physical channels. You are highly capable at independently producing brand-aligned assets and working efficiently within established guidelines. You will also be responsible for developing and maintaining new webpages on Alto.com. While you own the execution of individual projects, you collaborate closely with marketing leads, product teams, and commercial teams to align your work with the broader business goals and creative direction.
You are a highly capable designer who is comfortable leveraging technical skills and AI tools to build systems that deliver and optimize high-quality marketing surfaces and experiences. This is a unique hybrid role: you’ll own the visual execution of individual projects, delivering high-quality, on-brand design work and have the opportunity to identify and implement tools and processes that enhance our design capabilities and help us work more efficiently.

Short term assignments are expected to last no more than 6 months.



Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creative & AI-Powered Execution:

    • Act as the primary designer and a technical force multiplier for the marketing team.

    • Execute on-brand creative assets for web, email, social media, print, packaging, and sales materials.

    • Translate strategic briefs into visually compelling, rapidly deployable design solutions.

    • Leverage AI and automation to streamline creative workflows, from asset creation to final delivery.

    • Stay informed on design trends, tools, and technologies in the digital marketing and brand space.

  • Website & Experience Optimization:

    • Design, build, and maintain content on Alto.com using Framer.

    • Create high-performing landing pages that are continuously tested and optimized for conversion and user experience.

    • Partner with marketing leads to ensure all design and technical implementations align with SEO and AI summary strategies.

  • Process & Communication:

    • Effectively communicate strategic thinking, design decisions, and innovative brand ideas to all stakeholders using clear, concise language.

    • Support creative workflow management, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality assets.

    • Maintain and organize the design library and shared systems to improve team efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.

    • Coordinate the activities of external freelancers and agencies under the guidance of a marketing lead.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Design & Technical Expertise:

    • 6+ years of design experience in brand, campaign, UX/UI, or creative studio environments

    • Expertise in layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and system design

    • Experience with both print and digital production and file prep

    • Experience designing and building websites and landing pages using no-code/low-code platforms like Framer or Webflow.

    • Familiarity with motion design tools (Adobe Creative), Figma, etc)

  • Portfolio

    • An expressive portfolio showcasing elevated design work across marketing, customer experience and storytelling.

    • A portfolio that demonstrates ability to translate design concepts into a functional, live website with a focus on conversion rate optimization and SEO best practices.

  • Mindset & Collaboration

    • Highly collaborative with clear communication and a low-ego approach.

    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects in parallel

    • Comfort working within a brand system, while continuing to evolve

    • Resourceful, proactive, and capable of working independently and in a team under tight deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Brand Design, Marketing Design, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 4+ years of progressive experience in brand, marketing, or visual design roles, with a strong portfolio of enterprise-level design work.

    • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, product, communications, and executive leadership teams.

  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in healthcare, technology, or high-growth consumer brands strongly preferred.

  • Tools: Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects), GSuite, Slack, and project management tools (Asana, Jira, or similar).

  • Expertise:

    • Strong foundation in typography, color theory, and layout principles.

    • Experience designing brand systems and visual identities at scale.

    • Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design standards.

  • Other:

    • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, able to clearly present creative ideas to stakeholders.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

    • Detail-oriented with a focus on consistency and brand integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Design, Branding, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Experience & Expertise:

    • 6+ years of experience in enterprise or corporate brand design, ideally in a regulated industry such as healthcare, finance, or insurance.

    • Experience building or evolving brand design systems across digital and print touchpoints.

    • Motion design and video editing skills for brand storytelling.

    • Familiarity with employer branding and internal communications design.

    • Strong understanding of brand strategy and the ability to translate abstract concepts into compelling visuals.

  • Other Desired Skills:

    • Experience collaborating with external agencies or vendors.

    • Comfort with user research and applying insights to design decisions.

    • Strong leadership presence, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders around design decisions.

Additional Physical Job Requirements

Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer that include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 20 pounds. The role also requires the ability to effectively communicate through verbal interactions, discern auditory information, and visually perceive details to perform essential job functions.

Salary and Benefits

Salary Range: $96,000 - $120,000 (W-2 position)

Location Requirement: Employment at Alto is limited to individuals residing in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington (WA), and Wisconsin.
