You will oversee a multi-modal operation that is central to Alto’s value proposition and core to our patient experience. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with operational rigor—capable of scaling systems, teams, and processes while delivering on unit economics, performance goals, managing external partners and contracts while elevating the Alto service offering through industry leading speed, precision and reach. You’ll bring a strong track record of operational excellence, lean six sigma methodologies, and tech-enabled logistics execution.
You will lead delivery operations across all sites, launch new markets, develop new capabilities (including automation and 3P integrations), and partner closely with Product, Tech, and Pharmacy teams to drive innovation in home prescription delivery. This role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Lead the development of a world-class operational engine that serves as a competitive advantage for Alto Pharmacy.
Identify and eliminate inefficiencies, streamline processes, and deliver innovative services for our Patients, Providers, and Partners.
Develop and execute strategic plans and operational rigor that deliver meaningful results in a fast-paced environment.
Build and manage the fulfillment network strategy, including the development of a network budget and operating plans that align with company objectives.
Oversee operations in current markets and provide support for the launch of new locations.
A Bit About You
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related business or healthcare fields
15+ years of progressive leadership experience in an operations environment, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles supporting operations in fulfillment, pharmacy, or delivery.
5+ years of direct experience managing Last Mile network design and/or execution.
Strong P&L experience, with the ability to drive financial performance and optimize operational cost.
Proven ability to partner with technology teams on the development and execution of new product solutions.
Expertise in defining, implementing, and revising operational policies and guidelines across the organization.
Experience collaborating with departmental leaders to develop financial plans and ensure company-wide operational compliance.
Proven track record of managing revenue margins, conducting budget reviews, and maximizing output.
Demonstrated experience in overseeing client support services and maintaining high-quality support standards.
Strong relationship management skills with the ability to build partnerships with frontline teams, product teams, and patient care teams.
Extensive experience in scaling teams, building sustainable tools, and implementing repeatable processes.
Demonstrated focus on data analysis and KPIs with a strong history of driving operational improvements.
Proven leadership skills, including experience leading managers and inspiring high-performance teams.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders and build compelling project proposals and business cases.
Ability to deliver impactful results while operating in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for training, motivating, and coaching teams to maintain high patient care standards and foster a positive, engaging work environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA, PharmD, or advanced degree.
Cross-functional experience working with product, software development, and science teams.
Experience in digital health technology.
M&A and strategic partnership experience.
SaaS product sales experience.
Proficiency with CRM software.

Additional Physical Job Requirements
Physical requirements for this role include the ability to work at a computer terminal with monitor, keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, and reach for equipment and supplies, make frequent repetitive motions required to operate a computer that include the wrists, hands and fingers, and lift, carry, push, pull, and move light objects up to 20 pounds. The role also requires the ability to effectively communicate through verbal interactions, discern auditory information, and visually perceive details to perform essential job functions.

Salary and Benefits
Salary Range: $$222,000 - 275,000
Commission Eligible: No
Equity Eligible: Yes
Travel: Yes - Required up to 30% of the time
Location Requirement: Employment at Alto is limited to individuals residing in the following states: Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Washington (WA), and Wisconsin.
