Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Senior Aircraft Technician (Mechanical) to join our Maintenance & Repair (MAR) team in Grand Prairie, TX.
You will be part of a small team that performs detailed inspection, assembly, installation, repair or replacement of aircraft components and systems, maintenance or refurbishing of aircraft and function check of components.

Your challenges:
Conduct operational checks of complete systems to verify proper functioning of components and systems.
Perform troubleshooting to diagnose malfunction or failures on the following aircraft systems: aircraft equipment furnishings, fire protection, fuel system, hydraulics, landing gear, doors, fuselage, stabilizer, rotor systems, power plant and engine controls.
Assure that completed work complies with FAA regulations, customer requirements, and company specifications.
Follow all OSHA, safety and environmental regulations.
Complete forms and records pertaining to completion of assigned work.
Participate in flight tests on aircraft and log work to be performed, as required. Interface with customer for delivery; prepare for delivery inspection and any problems customer may discover.
Your boarding pass:
Minimum of six (6) years of aviation maintenance experience.
Current A&P license OR 18 months of maintenance experience on Airbus manufactured helicopters.
Helicopter maintenance experience, Airbus Helicopter airframe experience, and Safran Turbomeca engine experience are HIGHLY desirable.
Must be able to read, write, and speak English

Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings. Daily
Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms. Daily
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications. Daily
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts. Daily
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs. Daily
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 60lbs/27kgs. Daily
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools. Daily
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer. Weekly
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving. Daily
Climbing: Must be able to climb ladders and aircraft foot holds on a daily basis to reach the top of the Aircraft for inspections and or maintenance activities. Daily
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor. Daily
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice. As needed or required
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces. Daily
Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.

US Person under ITAR definition (FOR EXAMPLE: U.S. Citizen, green card holder or person covered under our existing ITAR license)
