Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Business Intelligence Developer (BI/BW) to join our Digital team Grand Prairie, TX.
In this role, you will support and develop the business Intelligence and analytics requirements for Airbus Helicopters, Inc. (AHI). You will also participate on the various data analytics project teams and will assist with design, perform configuration, testing, and training associated with analytics applications to ensure customer needs are met. This role will be strategic in developing future analytics tool utilization and the analytics strategy at Airbus Helicopters North America.

Your Challenges:
Analytics Product Development, Maintenance, and Support: 60%
Provide analytics support and participate in the design, configuration, testing and confirmation of analytics applications to ensure that client needs are met after implementation of new functionalities.
Support functionalities in existing analytics applications through enhancements, problem resolution and focused support to clients.
Analyze and assemble complex data pipelines using various technologies including SAP BW, Palantir
Design and implement analytics dashboards to ensure a positive user experience.
Provide support for SAP BI/BW including configuration and enhancement requests.
Complete testing methodologies, processes and tools for testing of functionality, including unit, integration, system and regression testing
Work with Data Management teams in Airbus Europe to ensure global and end to end consistency of data, platforms, and solutions, especially concerning SAP BI/BW and Palantir.
Work with desktop applications including spreadsheets and presentation toolkits
Prepare technical documentation for data models, ETL / ELT processes, reports, and dashboards.
Support all Analytics team activities, including development, maintenance and operations
Work in concert with the Analytics project managers to define requirements, scope, and progress on small and large projects
Technical Leadership 20%
Serve as the IM technical lead/product owner for BI/BW or other analytics projects, following the Airbus project management processes and providing BI related work products for other projects that include BI requirements
Partners with the BI team members in various countries to coordinate data modeling and other technical aspects of the reporting and dashboarding lifecycle.
Analytics Products Awareness and Coaching: 10%
Work within business units to promote the advantages of creating data products and visualizations to further business objectives
Coach internal business users with a goal of being largely self-sufficient for their analytics needs
Analytics Research 5%
Research and document new and improved features on existing tools
Become familiar with new analytics technologies in Airbus and in the marketplace
Other Duties as Assigned 5%
Employ good interpersonal relationships with diverse groups and individuals
Participate in project planning, estimation, and execution
Contribute to data governance initiatives and ensure data integrity and security
Optimize system performance and ensure scalability of the BI/BW environment.
Your Boarding Pass:
Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or Business Degree and equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years in data visualization, analytics and reporting development, delivery, and support.
SAP BW on Hana 7.5 or BW/4HANA or Palantir capabilities
Minimum of 2 years of which must include hands-on development and support work in SAP BI/Hana with strong grasp of development tools, especially current versions of Eclipse IDE

Additionally, must have 3 years in at least two of the following:
data management and data security
business and data analysis
delivering products and solutions under agile and/or waterfall methodologies
Minimum 2 years experience with SQL and database concepts.

Authorized to Work in the US
Preferred Education/Skills:
Masters Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines.
Knowledge of one or more of the following areas: Aerospace, Customer Service, Aircraft Programs, Manufacturing, Engineering, HR, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain and Quality
Development in analytics platforms including, but not limited to, Palantir, Tableau, Alteryx, Qlik
Experience with agile methodologies - Scrum, iterative modes, etc.
SAP ABAP Certification
SAFe Agilist, Scrum master, or other certification
Experience with PySpark, Javascript, HTML, CSS, and/or TypeScript.
SAP 4 HANA or “classic” SAP ECC6 model(s)
Experience and/or certification in SAFe

Physical Requirements:
Onsite: 90 %
Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents and reports (daily).
Hearing: able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone (daily) and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms (occasionally).
Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications (daily).
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment (daily).
Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs (daily).
Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 10lbs (daily).
Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment (occasionally).
Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on a computer (daily).
Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving (occasionally).
Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor (as needed).
Travel: No travel expected.
Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces (daily).
PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits; appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor (as needed).
