How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

The Specialty Gases Specialist is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customers requiring high-purity and specialty gas products.
This role involves both maintaining relationships with existing customers and developing new business in targeted sectors such as laboratories, pharmaceuticals, universities, research & development.

As a specialty gases specialist, you will work closely with the accounts executives in your territory to drive sales growth in the specialty gases product line.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets in the specialty gases segment.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in key markets such as laboratories, pharmaceuticals, electronics, universities, R&D industry and more generally any gas consumer company.

  • Serve as a technical expert on specialty gas products, applications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA, GMP, etc.).

  • Support account managers to drive the growth of Specialty Gas sales within the territory.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with lab managers, purchasing managers, engineers, and end-users.

  • Conduct on-site visits and answer to customer needs and requests in a timely manner.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to implement and adjust business strategies.

  • Maintain accurate sales activities, records & market data collection through Salesforce (CRM).

  • Promote and achieve Safety

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma: Bachelor's degree in business, chemistry, physics or related field

  • Experience: 3+ years' experience in technical sales, preferably in speciality gases or the industrial gases industry.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.

  • Self-motivated with strong organisational and time management skills.

  • Knowledge of speciality gas mixtures, handling equipment, purity specifications and regulatory compliance would be considered an advantage.

  • Proficient in Google suite and Salesforce or equivalent CRM software.

  • Experience of data visualisation tools such as Power BI would be an advantage.

  • A valid driving licence with a clean driving record is required.
